DJ/PA SERVICES

KSSU is available for DJ and PA services.  On and off campus organizations can hire KSSU to provide music and/or a PA system at their event.  KSSU is a program of Associated Students Inc. (ASI) at Sacramento State. Therefore, KSSU does not charge for services to ASI departments.

Sac State campus departments and organizations are charged the standard rate. On campus departments and organizations are responsible for securing their own sound permit through the department of Student Organizations & Leadership (SOAL) prior to contacting KSSU about providing on campus DJ/PA services.

Non-campus related organizations with events on campus are also charged the standard rate.  Non-campus related organizations are also responsible for securing their own sound permit through the department of Student Organizations & Leadership (SOAL). If the event is off campus, please be aware of the additional transportation charges below.

All organizations regardless of campus affiliation must contact the KSSU Promotions Director through email to complete a request for DJ/PA services.

Important:  Please provide at least 2 weeks notice prior to the date of your event. In your email correspondence with the KSSU Promotions Director, please provide the name and type of event, date, time, location, and a preliminary list of requested equipment (example: cordless microphone). Please also be aware of the rates listed below before making your request.

Rates

Event Duration: 1-3 hours

$100 for every hour KSSU is scheduled to be at your event on campus

Example: KSSU is at your event from 2 p.m.to 4 p.m. Total charge will be $200.

Event Duration: 3-6 hours

$100 for every hour KSSU is scheduled to be at your event on campus

An additional $50 per hour beyond the third hour will be added to the standard $100 per hour.  The new total charge per hour once an event exceeds the third hour is $150.

Example: KSSU is at your event from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. From 2pm – 3pm, the charge is $100. From 3pm to 4pm, the charge is $100. From 4pm- 5pm, the charge is $100. From 5pm- 6pm, the charge is $150. From 6pm - 7pm, the charge is $150. Total charge for the entire event is $600.

Off Campus Events

KSSU will charge the standard fee of $100 per hour. If the event exceeds 3 hours, the additional fee of $50 per hour will also be assessed as indicated above. Off campus events are also responsible for paying a transportation fee. An additional charge of $50 is also assessed to organizations requesting DJ/PA services for events that are off campus. This additional fee covers transportation and loading/unloading of equipment.  If the event is out of the Sacramento area, a larger transportation fee may apply. Payment

Payment for KSSU DJ/PA services will be arranged though ASI Accounting Services.  ASI Accounting Services will invoice your organization. Please provide KSSU with the name of contact person, name of organization or department, phone number, email, and billing address.
